Beautiful creatures - I can certainly recommend that dive, but you need to be a strong swimmer.

We did see one idiot holding onto a Stingray, with it attempting to hit the diver with its barb. Sad that none of the crew intervened and had this guy off the dive.

This really is a defensive action on the part of the Stringray. Should we be that surprised that Steve Irwin got stung, considering his normal approach to wildlife. Of course, an attacking croc, snake or stingray makes good wildlife TV - with all the risk that go with it. Still, wildlife conservation has lost an active sponsor and generous champion.

re: Pleural Effusions

Ok, Ok- you guys! These are best that Google could offer! The story was real, the xrays was for pictoral purposes.

Anyhow, a follow-up:

* Sadly, the atypical pneumonia guy died. I will miss him- he was a good friend. His 78 year old body just didn't take too well to having h/o pulmonary emboli, heart disease, diabetes, and other MMP's (multiple medical problems).
* The RIGHT sided effusion lady is doing well as long as she remains on high dose steroids. I took a total of 3.5 liters of fluid over 2 thoracentesis procedures. She's currently getting radiation therapy to control some bone mets of the spine and pelvis.

re: Pleural Effusions

I agree hee hee..
Also, the first pt doesn't seem to be intubated!

re: The Parasitic Twin

But Terry- if I had called it a teratoma, nobody would take a look at it!
