Winn-Dixie Adds Health Savings account Support

If you are one of the somewhat few folks who have a Health Savings Account, then this might be of interest...the products that can be purchased and the cost deducted from such an account will be recognized at time of check out with your groceries...all identified through tags...and the rest can be deducted from your normal checking account....BD

Grocery chain Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. has updated software in its checkout systems to enable consumers to use their health savings account or flexible spending account card when purchasing over-the-counter health and wellness items. 

The software enables the checkout system to identify qualified products, charge them to the account, and subtract that amount from the total owed for other purchases being made at the same time. The total spent on qualified health care items will be displayed separately on the receipt.
