This is our executive summary of emrupdate statistics for the month of August 2006.

What operating systems are you Docs / EMR Vendors using? I have to ask WHO is still using Windows 3.1? One of Al Borges' eBay purchases? More Macs than I would have bet on! Cyath? Ducknet?




Page Views
We executed a software upgrade back in Feb - this involved a complex database migration - or a simpler new database instance. I took the latter option. I think we're seeing just a seasonal dip as our regulars take vacations, therapy, treatment and complete gender re-alignment surgery.

Historic Visits
I think these figures are quite alarming! Quite a progressive drop in our historic visits - however some of the drop is a product of an increase in RSS fed viewing.

How long do you spend on site? These are our average Times Per Visit:


The increase in time per visit has been statistically proven as as result of members revisiting Al Borges Medical Picks as they ask "No. Al didn't post that, did he?"

Is there any way to monitor the RSS activity? That truely is a missing variable...

I personally use all WinXP machines, all off ebay of course! I never did use Win 3.1 due to the fact that prior to 1995 I was in the camp that thought that Windows would never succeed, that the future belonged to DOS. When Windows 95 came out I quickly migrated and never looked back.

Was that me using Solaris!

I bet all those unknown OSs are all bots crawling the site.
