This guy could have saved himself some trouble if he just wanted the data and with Google Health he could have imported it, that is if Google Health was his personal health record of choice. Myself, I am very cautious of devices that do not go directly to a PHR as they are collected on the web...

A little background here on the Medical Quack is that I have been following PHRs since they began with HealthVault and Google Health and actually have a section on the blog with over 300 posts with many ‘how to’s” and a ton of information. What is very distressing though is on the internet I run...

Cloud Care is the name of the service and now to be able to have one device that connects and collects from other devices, it will no longer be necessary to have the information stored on a local PC. FDA approves HealthPal – Bluetooth Device that Collects from Other Reporting Devices and Sends Information...

I can say this was needed as things have progressed in the last couple of years since Google Health was introduced. We now see some consumer devices that can now connect and make it easier for one to get the data in place. Cardio Trainer and Fitbit were named as 2 new devices that connect...

We seem to be getting closer to the Nationwide Health Information Network becoming available for expansion with public use. As you can read at the link below this is up for discussion and would provide for a connection separate from the web in a sense to exchange healthcare information only. ...

I like to keep the far right hand side open for both advertisers and resources to be used by healthcare individuals as well as consumers. Today I did an update with both the graphics and added a new PHR to the list, Patient Ally. Patient Ally is also a “free” PHR that is offered and stored on...

If you are a regular reader here, you will find a multitude of posts about using 2D and 3D Microsoft Tags due to some brainstorming on my part with looking forward to where we are going with Health IT. The folks over at Razcode and I got into a conversation not too long ago about using digital...

First off I want to say thank you for the plug here and he might be right, I see all others talking about personal health records but I have not seen other bloggers and others putting a link on their site to make it easy to find Google Health or HealthVault, after all if you read about something and...

I tried this out a few times and it’s true, when you search for an item, “Google Health” results are at the top of the heap. This is one example and I did a few more. What I saw next didn’t necessarily make me happy but it allows you to get an alert if they discover any security breaches...

How does it feel to be in a trial? This video touches on some of the good and bad and the communication between the patient and the site. Dan talks about documentation that might be missing, like missing some adverse affects of the drug in the trial. He makes a good point that as a site manager...
