It was just this summer that MIT purchased 51 machines, and I am guessing these are larger than the desktop machine announced. It makes you wonder if in a few years your sequencing machine will sit there right next to your printer. This is not the first desktop model but rather a second one...

The machine is said to sell for less than 100k, which compared to other products that do the same on the market, a bargain by price.
