At least this time we have a year this time so perhaps somewhere along the line a permanent fix could be created. This has gone now for I think around 10 years and correct me if I am wrong here but it’s way over due for a permanent fix as the provisions written 10 years ago don’t apply today. ...

As of yesterday I believe we have one more 30 day extension and that will last only until the end of the year. It is too bad that Medicare doesn’t operate as inexpensively and efficient as Social Security as far as the tax payer dollars are concerned. Well I guess we are looking at everything...

Here we go once more, but this time the stakes are a little higher since the last extension was granted by Congress. Each time the deadline seems to get a bit closer and last time IT changes were made to pay at a lower rate, and then changed back one the extension was voted in. I think everyone...

Thank goodness Congress acted and gave the extension until December 1st, but we have the other side at CMS looking at their budget saying we want to cut based on the sustainable growth rate formula by 6.1%, which needs to go away as at this point with current series of events over the years that have...

This is a big blow to everyone and in the words of some BP executives are we “the small or little people” out here? This situation has gone on for years and an area that needs precedence. Starting tomorrow CMS will begin issuing payments with the cuts. Now I’m sure there may be some...

The first matter supported by the group in healthcare reform is a permanent fix for the Medicare physician reimbursement issue and replacing with one based on the Medical economic Index. They also want neurologists to be be recognized at the principal providers for patients with very complex neurologic...

I posted about the court suit filing back during the holidays at the link below. Now it appears that the legal suit cannot be heard in court. This is definitely a set back for the ACC, but they are determined to keep fighting against the proposed reimbursement cuts for cardiologists. ...

The American College of Cardiology has has their website on the internet with their cause and battle against the proposed cuts. You can also read some additional comments from cardiologists on the site as well as as watching videos from their website, one of which I have embedded below. One...

Recently I have posted a couple of times about the impact the proposed cuts in Cardiology will have if they go through. One of my clients was kind enough to send me a copy of his letter to his representative in Congress. Not too long ago I did a short presentation for doctors at his hospital...

Just a few weeks ago, we heard a different story of just the opposite, interesting how things are changing so rapidly today and new opinions emerge to the opposite. The AMA didn’t like the idea of Medicare for all as it is going broke, but so are many hospitals so is it a race of who goes...

I have already posted about the failure to pass, but wanted add the comments from another site here, from the physician’s prospectus…the site has the entire break down on which voted against the bill, so there’s a list of Senators who might be able to use a little contact. The question is what...
