PatientOS is a free EMR system for physician offices and clinics. The system is designed to scale and evolve to be a fully fledged healthcare information system for hospitals in 2009.

Version 0.60 adds internationalization tools to quickly translate the English contents. Support was added for unicode character sets and multi-byte characters such as those found in the Japanese language can be displayed.

Medications have been added to the patient chart with a plugin demonstrating how to create a custom order entry workflow. Initial integration with a commercial drug database is demonstrated on our hosted demo however licenses are required before this functionality can be made available.

The CSV import for clinical forms has been expanded with additional fields allowing for more complex forms to be created quickly.

The scheduling tool to build resource schedules has been revised in order to streamline the process for custom schedules.

The custom banner bar needs to be configured and there are other obvious remaining words to be added to the translation list.

More drug screening coming soon - drug/allergy/adverse effects/dose checking.
