I just saw Ben Stein's "Expelled" . It is a must see for Darwinists, Intellegent Design and Creationists alike.   Backed into a corner Darwinists cannot answer the ultimate question:

"Where did life come from?"

Just because on believes in the Creator, does not mean he cannot be a scientist.  Just because one believes in God does not mean he cannot investigate things scientifically...e.g. molecular biology or basic combistion etc...

I plan to obtain a copy when it comes out.  Darwinists will HATE this movie and make EXTREME fun of it because they will be so fustrated that it will show many people that they are not alone in questioning the "infallible" evolution theory.  They will result to insults because obviously only ignorant people will not accept Darwinism as truth.

I heard Stein on talk radio today. From what I heard, he was advocating to keep an open mind with respect to all answers. Darwinism is a theory that does NOT have all the answers, hence, we need to keep an open mine to Creation as another premise. Intellectual dialog on either premise should not be suppressed.

Anyway looking forward to the movie. I like the way Stein thinks. He's a rebel in today's academic society.

I think my God needs to exert better control over your god's followers.... I'll be talking to him tonight.

 In your dreams, my friend.

Graham, answer the question posed by many in this: "Where does life come from?" We are here, all of us.   If life developed as an accident over 4.3billion years (in Darwin's time it was about 250 million years) where did all of it come from? If life developed on the backs of crystals....where did the crystals come from?

Matter has some sort of origin.  I bet even your god cannot tell where it all came from. It's funny, when Moses asked God who to tell them (the Isaelites) who sent him, he said I AM.  Two words, three letters and it BLOWS our intelligent minds beause we can't get past the fact that we can't explain Him. He just is.

Darwinism is a religion...no more no less.

I'll certainly give you this much on the religion issue.  There are any people who have warped religious practices and views outside what the Scripture actually says.  Their warped view twists the meaning of Scripture and generates laughable (better yet - shameful) activity all in the name of God.  This is akin to someone who claims to be a physician who knows a little first aid or a little home remedy.   He sets up a practice and does well in a few things, the all of a sudden creates a life-threating situation for people gullible (ignorant) enough to use him as their physician. It generates a situation where doctors are given a bad name, but he really wasn't a doctor in the first place.

Many are religious, but they aren't really following God.

Intelligent design states that there must be a creator.  The logical extension of this, is that the creator also needs a creator ..my God. We are thus in an infinite regress.

Evolution does not strive to explain how life appeared but to explain how it developed after it appeared.

An IMDB review.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008)

Zero truth, 17 April 2008
1/10
Author: zmjone2992 from United States

This is the worst, most lie ridden piece of propaganda I have ever laid eyes on. The producers lied to the scientists they interviewed, took Darwin's words far out of context and generally made complete fools of themselves. Also the speech with the standing ovation? University says that it was staged, and that the audience was mostly extras brought in, Ben Stein has not been touring campuses making speeches for I.D. This film attempts to blame Hitler's evil on the development of one of the most brilliant scientific discoveries in the past several centuries. Even if you were to try to find what influenced Hitler to commit the Holocaust, they should have pointed out it was Social Darwinism, which is a perversion of Darwinism adapted for racists. They also completely left out Nietzche's Ubermensch, which (while also a misinterpretation) also greatly influenced Hitler. Avoid this film at all costs.

And who might zmjone2992 be?  Another person with an opinion.

I don't know why many in the science community are so threatened by the idea that there is a God. (Not the one Graham worships) Why is it so threatening to believe that there is a Creator and we are just trying, through science, to figure out hoe He accomplished this reaity in which we exist?

If you worship your god, you're worshipping my God.  In the same way you worship Jesus, you are worshipping your god.  Let's be consistent here.

The only threat we see is how science education has so failed to combat the indoctrination of religion.  It's like our patients taking vitamins when we tell them they're harmful.

Oh, back to the idea of religion being a harmful infection passed on by the parent & friends.  You know, its funny I personally beiliev science has brought much benefit into the world.  Quality of life has improved in so many areas because of scientific application and discovery.   As one who believes in God, the Creator, I have no rub with science except where it tries to brainwash people into believing He does not exist.

I'll have to continue this later, I have to hit the treadmill.

and what has religion brought us ?? mass murder, lives of subjugation, thought suppression and a few lovely paintings.

This really is a no contest choice here ... why is it so difficult?
