Has anyone seen NueMD by NueSoft?  Its an great practice management software and its an ASP!  We looked at AdvancedMD and liked it, but there are some support issues I have heard.  Does anyone have any experience or use NueMD?  Please tell me how you like it.  We are seriously considering it for our office.

NueMD is a great product.  Absolutely !!!    I used to sell AdvancedMD and have also seen the NueMD product and I can tell you that NueMD is a solid choice.

I agree it really is easy to use and a very nice company to work with. I know several end-users that love it.

Kareo PM is very good but try to call them for anything - you will never get through to them.  Not a good thing. I have experience as an end-user  and it annoys me that I have to wait a day or so for someone to get back to me. Kareo needs to hire more employees.

NueMD is less than what is quotes above---its sometime who you know in the industry that can wheel n' deal with these companies to get a sweet price! Big Smile

So how much is NueMed from "other sources" ?  And who are those sources?

The prices I quoted are directly from my phone call to the company.

NueMD also offers a free demo request page on their website. The medical billing software and medical practice management software pages both have links for a free demo request.

One of our Medtuity users spoke highly of Nuesoft and asked if we might create a bidirectional interface with them.

Our calls to them were handled professionally and promptly by their staff. They have been wonderful to work with in creating an interface. It is apparent that they have some expertise in this area.

In talking with insders there, they have been in business for 15 yrs.  They changed their model to an "Internet model" several yrs ago.  They have a beautiful GUI and their data is hosted at several data centers.

The more we deal with them, the better the vibes I get.

Hi, newbie here...

Although I wouldn't call NueMD "great", it is a relatively inexpensive, capable system.  I don't like the way the encounter screen looks, but that's just me.  I also am not crazy about the reporting - I really, really like reporting that can be rendered in an excel worksheet - or at least a searchable document. But it is a very easy-to learn, uncomplicated software.  I was using it within a few minutes with just a few simple sentences of instruction from my contractor.  Most of it was self-explanatory for someone with a lot of experience.  Since I only use it as a sub-contractor to another billing service, I can't comment on support issues, but judging from the fact that you can state whether or not you're having issues as you log off, my guess may be that their support is above-par.  Unlike Kareo....

Kareo's support has ALWAYS been lacking, though, and Kareo only offers paid support.  And whether is is paid, or when it was free, it was always lacking.  It took me four months to get my account cancelled.  And in the year that I had the account, not a single one of my clients had yet been enrolled in EMR.  I was still double-keying all my claims for payers that required enrollment into Office Ally and Medicaid's and Medicare's free EC softwares.

Hope this helps!

Wow that is expensive.  Our Set Up Is $0.00.  Training for the first 3 hours free $90.00 per hour thereafter.  $250.00 a month for software and clearinghouse fees.  The only thing that we charge outside of the $250.00 is if you elect to send a electronic claim that gets dropped to paper by the clearinghouse and goes by mail to a carrier that does not accept electronic claims and this is optional because you can print and mail it out yourself.  Glad to know that Nue is more expensive than us though.  Thanks for the information.

Dan Brody:

Check out www.freedommd.com. Free EMR and Practice Management software. Makes money as a claims clearinghouse and other optional services.

It is my opinion that Doctor's do not want to get into the Clearinghouse business.  They have there hands full already with the Healthcare mess that is going on.  Furthermore, there is not going to be real money made unless they market themselves to other facilities etc. and then another issue to consider is that if everyone was there own clearinghouse then how would anyone ever make any money other than a return on there own claims.  I have looked at a Proprietary software that 1 of the largest clearinghouses in the U.S. uses and I have spoken to the gentelman that wrote the program and I can tell you that we considered not only offering our software on a Subscription basis as well as Outsourced Medical Billing but, we considered offering Clearinghouse services as well at a much lower fee than anyone else in the market place and it is not as easy as it sounds.  You have to get approved to have direct links with different payers and that is a very difficult process in a lot of cases and furthermore, a great deal of payers already have exclusivity with a Gateway which means that you are not directly linked with the payer etc.  This also does not take into consideration the amount of resources that it involves.

One thing that I have learned along time ago is that there is nothing in this world that is free ever.

I don't see where he's suggesting that.
