VISIONARY Medical Systems, Inc.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone looked into or has purchased a EMR/PMS system from Visionary Medical Systems. 

Here is some info that I received from their Rep.

 The company is based out of Florida. They have currently 300 clinics using their system locally. The CEO is Dr. Kiran Patel who is a Cardiologist. Visual Basic based interface. Provide both ASP and Client Server systems for EMR/PMS. They have their own LIS module. CCHIT certified.

 I would like your feedback about this company. Your input and advise would be highly appreciated.

We are in Tampa, and used Visionary for our billing.  The Practice management part was not bad.  Then we tried Dream their EMR.  It was terrible!!!  We dealt with them for over a year trying to get them to improve their EMR giving them almost continuous feedback and basically got nowhere.  Their biggest problem is that everything is outsourced to India.  Their salseman are the worst yes men I have ever met.  They continued to promise fixes but they never happened. The interface between the PM and EMR was poor.   We tried to implement their software a few times and it was nonfunctional.  We used Amazing Charts at the time and had to go back to it within 3 days.

lamdo uses Visionary as his PM and DescriptMED as his EMR.  He has been very happy with both.  He posts here from time to time.
