Prostate Cancer News - Erectile Dysfunction Lower In Men Who Have More Intercourse

What a news flash here!  I can see this one potentially becoming an event between couples, “honey I’m going to get cancer if I don’t get enough sex, so help me out”…(grin).  The study indicates that more than once a week is required to potentially remain outside the “risk” zone and that 3 times a week or better is the charm.  If you need a little enhancement along the line here, go grab some watermelon as posted earlier this week as it can have some natural “Viagra” effects.  

In other news, broccoli is also making some news with prostate cancer in potentially being effective in the fight, as well, so before having that nightly chat with your partner, eat your broccoli first!

And other findings show that decreasing KLF6-SV1 expression in prostate cancer cells decreased tumor growth in mice. The authors therefore suggest that measuring KLF6-SV1 expression levels in prostate cancer tumors at the time of diagnosis might help clinicians predict whether or not the tumor will metastasize and that targeting KLF-SV1 might provide a new avenue for the development of therapeutics to treat individuals with prostate cancer, in other words decreasing the levels of KLF-SV1 could prove to be a treatment plan with helping stop recurrences for those who have undergone treatment. 

Do men who have more sex get less erectile dysfunction(ED) or are studies skewed because men with erectile dysfunction report having less sex? It's hard to say but the message is clear; have more sex. Having intercourse more often may also help prevent the development of erectile dysfunction. A study in The American Journal of Medicine reports that researchers have found that men who had intercourse more often were less likely to develop ED.
