I notice to the left of our posts, you can see our little thumbnail avatar, number of posts, and our "points".  What are these "points" for?  And, can I get me a toaster oven, or something?

They don't mean anything.

If you get enough of them, ask Nick "Where's my money?"

When I went to visit GB a couple of years ago, I took a picture of Nick's Mansion, Chris. He's got everything- bike, scooter, broom... very "British" I say! Even has a tree in the back yard... Stick out tongue

The Points System very generally provide an indication of poster activity. I'm not saying that's great activity, average activity or otherwise, except that the post factor system rewards posters who's post generates replies. Of course old hands on this forum know these rules well. They deliberately post contentious, controversial and libelous content in order to court many, many replies to their original 'position'.

However I don't know if the thread originator gets credits for this reply, or as I've reply'qouted on Al Borges, whether points accrue to his reply. Of course it is entirely coincidental that the moniker Al Borges is repeated twice immediately following a comment about controversial posters!

Wink

For the forum anoraks, the poster point rules are: 5 points for a post, 15 point for a post reply.
