One of our customers is using zirmed and seems pretty satisfied with it.  That is the extent of my experience with them.  Hope that helps.

We use Zirmed and think it is an excellent program.  All of our billing personnel find it easy to use to submit and download remittances directly into the patients' accounts.  It is especially helpful in cleaning claims before they are ever submitted, thus driving down our denial rate.

Interesting enough I was talking to one of my medical billing services that I consult and found out they work with a few different Practice Management Software products one being Zirmed. This is his exact quote after I asked him what he thought of Zirmed -

Zirmed is actually easy to use and user friendly and fast compared to the loading time AdvancedMD takes but their support and follow up is not that good.  Initial cost is higher for setup but after that it’s kind of ok. EDI and ERA process is AWESOME with Zirmed we just need to go online and click the request button and select the payer and they will automatically fill the EDI agreements online with the Necessary information we have given initially and email us the PDF for signature. JJJ Almost 2-3 minutes for one agreement J

It's my understanding is that Zirmed does not have their own PM software.  It's like a payerpath type solution for practices.

Granted it's better than nothing but the downside of any of these types of solutions is that it isn't typically fully intergrated with your PM system.

You upload your claims in a batch, you get some rejections back, you fix the rejections in ZirMed and then have to go back to your PM system to update the corrections there as well.

They just announced a partnership with Greenway, I'd have to imagine this is going to turn into a Mysis/Payerpath type arrangement.

Zirmed is a clearinghouse for medical billing companies primarily.  Their services are top notch but they can be a bit pricey.

I had a client that used Zirmed. I loved it. I especially liked that you could hard-code some claim corrections automatically, so that if your software was less-than-perfect due to design or poor support, you could program in the corrections. For instance this client's software automatically marked every claim as emergent and the software support people would not change it because they insisted my claims would deny if it wasn't marked. I could make an edit in Zirmed that automatically ignored that field. You could also program it to automatically ignore any claims that you customarily send on paper so you didn't have to worry about deselecting those claims from your batch, for those biling systems that make that process difficult. It had many other automatic processes that you could set up that made billing much more efficient and error-free. Of course, it also had eligibility and ERA capabiliy too, but since I was doing mostly aged claim recovery for that client I didn't have the chance to check those features out much. It had extensive reporting capabilites that I liked, too. And I found the support to be almost immediate and very effective. Of course, I have no clue as to the cost since it was my client's account. My current clients are all Medicare/Medicaid heavy so most of my claims are uploaded directly and I use various free clearinghouses for the rest, but if I ever get a client that is non-goverment heavy I will certainly be looking into Zirmed. I loved using it.

Best clearinghouse out there in my opinion for e-MDs users that our company Solor has found.  We've used Gateway, navicure and others.  Zirmed is user friendly, powerful, and reliable.  We have converted many practices from others to Zirmed because of its ease of use.  Really increases efficiency for our staff.
