The government mandates that I use E-presribing but then I am unable to send an electronic prescription to any of the government run pharmacies in my area like the one at WOMACK Army Medical Center or the pharmacy at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Neither place will take faxed prescriptions either. To meet meaningful use criteria I have to send over 40% of my prescriptions electronically but since such a large portion of our population is military based I will never be able to meet that number due to the poorly run government pharmacies. And they wonder why doctors are against the government taking over all of healthcare in the US.

Not to mention those "dangerous" controlled drugs such as Lyrica that cannot be e-prescribed.
Bryan,
We have a new e-prescribing app that qualifies as e-prescribing and can work with any pharmacy if they have Internet. Your situation would likely be a perfect test location - email or call me if you want to give a try with all the problems test software poses.

That will not work since the government pharmacies are not connected to the internet. They also do not accept faxes. They only accept paper prescriptions hand delivered by the patient.
