Because some of our best interviews have come as a result of public demand, I once again call for your interview suggestions. I will use my best efforts to bring in the stories you want. There are so many positive things to cover regarding EMR, these facts should be noted. Interviews are here: http://www.emrupdate.com/blogs/emrinterviews/ As you can see, we are not interested in negative "hatchet jobs", but rather, in-depth discussions which examine the most basic motions--and emotions--of EMR.
Please help us expand this unique feature of EMR Update by lending your great passion and creativity to the endeavor: who would you like to see interviewed in EMR Update?
Your comments, suggestions, and discussion here, please.

Hi Robert:
How about Jon, the CEO of Amazing Charts. it would be nice to see the future direction for his product. Where he wants to take it, and what are his views on issues s.a. CCHIT and the government hijacking of the EMR industry. That would be a very interesting interview!
BTW, can you add a few pictures to Graham's interview? I like to put a face with the person!
Cheers,
Al
Al Borges, M.D.
Someone suggested Fred Trotter. Was that your suggestion, Fred? OK!
You, Sir, are on the list! Please call me to make arrangements, Fred, and let's show these guys how it's done!

Al,
That's a great idea, and I would love to do it. Right now, however, I happen to know there is a big story with interviews coming out soon about Amazing Charts and their fearless leader's snubbing of CCHIT. I know this, Al, because I was interviewed for the article. And yes, Al, I did mention your name in my interview! (I secured permission to reprint the story here once it comes out in print. Coming soon!)
Let's wait for the story, then perhaps do a followup interview of our own on this amazing company leader.
I have a request that I post Dr. Graham Chiu's photo with his interview. If he sends it I will post it.
Graham, you have never heard of the "Geico Gecko", but your voice sounds just like the voice actor who plays this lovable animated insurance salesman on the TV ads for Geico Auto Insurance, especially when you say the words, "for free". (There is one TV commercial where the Geico Gecko says, "Who's got pie and chips--for free?")
So, Graham, unless you want Americans to have a mental picture of you as a cute little animated gecko, please email your favorite self-photo to me, and I will place it in the interview, located here: http://www.emrupdate.com/blogs/emrinterviews/archive/2006/07/18/Synpase-EMR-Express-_2D00_-Interview-with-Dr.-Graham-Chiu.aspx (just in case you thought people don't still read your interview--they do!)
Perhaps you could interview Murdoch's wife...get the woman behind the man angle :)

Yeah, hopefully it'll show his office setting and how he interacts with it. I imagine it'll be something sort of like this picture:
that'll be me burning all my microsoft products!

Do we have a volunteer stepping up to the plate? I will follow up with Jonathan. From his recent post:
"If there are further questions from the community, or if EMRUpdate is interested in a formal interview, we are more than happy to oblige. I can be reached at jonathan AT practicefusion.com

Jonathan SebMarketing Director, Practice Fusion"
Funny,
You consider Practice Fusion instead of Holt Systems for interview. This is fine, I understand, we have not donated any money yet to the cause. We have been at this for 14 years and our latest release 4.0, will speak for itself.
We don't spend time talking about futures forever, it will be released before TEPR 2007 in its final form. Basically it is eMedRec enterprise Document Management for large and small practices with a full fledged EMR Note and Data Capture System with OEM integrated Dragon Naturally Speaking in the Note and point and click templating as well as free text. It is our largest development effort to date.
For those of you who are watching the David Winn posts regarding eMds next generation of software, behold, eMedRec will be coming out with a light version in 4.0 designed to compete with Amazing Charts price model and have all the features. We respect the fact that the 1-2 doc practice will not purchase software at a high price and does not necessarily need the SQL Server enterprise capability in eMedRec. The price will be under $2,000 for up to two doctors and will offer a on-line purchase function. We will not be limiting the functionality just the number of providers and the software will not provide any integration services or on-site installation, that will be reserved for our enterprise version.
There is a reason I have become silent, we are working hard.
14 years of development and still growing.
Regards,Brendon
