CMS Names NextGen Healthcare a Qualified PQRI Patient Registry for 2009

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc. QSII and a leading provider of ambulatory healthcare and connectivity solutions, today announced it has been named a qualified PQRI patient registry for 2009 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). As a qualified PQRI registry, NextGen Healthcare will help eligible physicians to submit data based on PQRI quality measures directly to CMS. CMS will begin collecting 2009 quality measure results in January 2010.

PQRI is a voluntary quality reporting program established by CMS in which physicians collect and report data related to performance measures. In 2009, physicians who satisfactorily submit applicable quality measures data are eligible for an additional two percent (2%) Medicare incentive payment.
