EMR software (EHR Software) for Solo Practitioners and small medical practices

While there are a large number of EHR systems such systems often cost $32,000 per physician or upwards. Currently small physician practices provide nearly 75% of ambulatory care in the USA. Many of these small medical practices lack sufficient resources to implement EHRs or improve their quality of care. The Veterans Health Administration's open-source electronic health record system VistA is a fully integrated, enterprise-wide healthcare information system that has been developed and used for the past 20 years by the Veterans Health Administration, the largest, centrally directed, healthcare system in the U.S. VistA has been deployed in about 1,500 care sites and its open-source derivative OpenVistA, whose source code is freely available could be an effective and low-cost option small medical practices. OpenVistA can be customized for speciality clinics and medical centers. Thanks for letting me know about this incentive program. I do have one question though about using it to buy ehr software. I've always found success in AdvancedMD. Could this same program work to buy AdvancedMD?
