Virutal House Calls - a new tech twist

A new potential tech twist to the doctor patient relationship. The Whistlebox Virtual House Call. Whistlebox is a browser based video audio communication program. Nothing to download or upload. The catch appears to be one must have a computer and a web cam the rest is basically automatic. Whistlebox can be integrated into your intranet or portal, or as an add-on to your own products and services. Why is whistleBox different?

That is so cool, Chris! I'm going to see how far I can get with this- many of my patients are tech-savvy and would love to post in it. Heck, some even come to emrupdate.com to see my "dungeon" articles!

That's really cool. Telemedicine is the research term for this and there has been a lot of research done on the subject. Although, this is kind of a Web 2.0ish method of implementing it.

I've always wondered why the web cam technology hasn't grown and improved faster than it has. Mostly because I would have thought the porn community would be pushing the envelope on this technology.
