Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, CommunityServer provides a couple of methods for resetting your password.

First, click the link I forgot my password, as shown at the bottom of this dialogue box.

CommunityServer manages password reset using either Password Reset or Link Reset. This means that how you reset your password depends upon the configuration of Password Recovery for your CommunityServer application.

Password Reset

This asks you to enter your account email address. The system will then reset your password and email you the new password to the email address with which you originally registered upon this community. If you enter an email address that the system does not recognize, you will receive an email.

Enter the email address used to register with this community.

You will receive an email containing a new password. It may take as long as 15 minutes for the password to be transmitted.

Link Reset

Enter the email address you used to register with this community.

Once submitted, the following message is displayed.

The system will email you a link to perform the reset of your password. Click the hyperlink contained in the email mesage. This will open a Password Reset page at your commuinity. Enter a new password and click Done.
