Doctor, patient, wireless laptop
One approach to paperless patient care is the wireless laptop or the tablet PC in the room.  Since I am a fluid typist, I prefer the laptop.  It is also much cheaper, and less prone to being dropped and broken.  In general, it is preferred not to put fixed utilities in the room, as that approach in more expensive up front and in maintenance, is prone to tampering, and requires repeated log-on/log-off.  In this example, the patient can see their own chart, which encourages a refreshing level of transparency and openess.

I love the expression on JCP's face.  I'm going to have to show this picture to my clinicians.

Hey Techguy! Do you think he's put a bit of weight on lately? Maybe not enough cycling?

This is an excellent picture in every respect, a potential prize-winning shot. Notice that the composition forms a perfect equilateral triangle, as seen in DiVinci's "Last Supper". Great focus of human interest. Very nice!

Weight?!  Hah!  Nothing more than insular padding from my winter hibernation!  Were it not for the mug o' Starbucks there, I might still be sleeping...

Do you dress all your patients up in scrubs?

Amorphous scrubs keep one's mind on the clinical...
