• Re: Government hypocrisy

Bryan, We have a new e-prescribing app that qualifies as e-prescribing and can work with any pharmacy if they have Internet. Your situation would likely be a perfect test location - email or call me if you want to give a try with all the problems test software poses. www.medscribbler.com mmilne at scriptnetics

  • Re: I didn't read the obituary

Dr. Al Borges NEVER took personal shots at anyone. I am likely the "certain Canadian poster" as I did get personal but ONLY when a personal shot was taken at me first. What others didn't like is I usually beat them up in a debate about personalities. It was a problem here that the moderators and some posters did not know the difference

  • Re: Help Please! Amazing Charts Clarification

Running a client server application takes some skill. Even with no former IT knowledge most can do it but the problem is time and discipline to read the manuals. Recognizing your limitation of interest and time is half the battle. Amazing Charts has some networking issues but has tools to overcome most. Buy support or expect to need support to keep

  • Re: Failed EMR implementation

Toby, I haven't posted in a while (too busy) but I am the CEO at Medscribbler. Basically, the whole process in getting an EMR is flawed. Government doesn't know its A from ahole in the ground - it is just bizzare to me that we are asking pencil pushers to tell us what a good "certified" EMR is. Doctors skew the process because few

  • Re: How to turn iPad into a Kiosk

I turned my iPad into a doorstop. Now when patients come they don't have to open the door, its already open. This great inovation has helped make my office more effecient, patients can now get "out the door" quicker. I don't know what I would without this great iPad innovation. The only problem is evryone keeps picking it up thinking

  • Re: Tablets in Healthcare: Apple Vs. Droid

When it comes to tablets Medscribbler is the only viable EMR that has been designed for Tablets exclisively. The iPad or Android etc debate is a waste of time - THEY CAN NEVER RUN AN APPLICATION AS COMPLEX AS AN EMR unless it is a browser based EMR because they too are limited. - My views of browser based systems are well known - security, HIPAA violations

  • Re: Considering EHR Systems in Terms of ROI

Thanks for advertizement. Again, Medscribbler offers free unlimited training (as it is easy to use), free installation and DONT PAY UNTIL YOU ARE HAPPY (or you make enough extra to pay us) No other EMR does this, the fact that this OPTI whatever company exisits proves most vendors do not sell a positive ROI product and the fact no one dares do the same

  • Re: Help finding a web-based emr/pms
When you graft some inbound faxing and robo-calling solutions to your EMR, you should bring it to the attention of EMRUpdate readers. They will have an interest
Medscribbler does both. We include a fax server that is designed to search for any connected fax modem on the network. We also include and telephone

  • Re: Help finding a web-based emr/pms

A husband buying an EMR for his wife is a divorce waiting to happen or a vendor who is going to get in the middle of the marriage. I'd rather not sell to these situations because I am never accepted as the marriage counsellor and I hate wasting my time on something that has little chance of success. Husband already does not sound like he can make

  • Re: My free 25Gb storage available on Drive Z:

These services are both useless and very expensive when talking about 3 or 5 years worth of medical practice EMR information. They are Ok for home or causual users or text only documents backup. Medscribbler Cloud is designed for the heavy lifting an EMR requires and is about a quarter of the price it would take to "do it yourself" with one
