Hello Savvy We are in the process of a demo of WRS PMS/Billing system. Since they are using a lot of Open Source software to operate their product. Their monthly charges are a bit on the higher side. I would have preferred a Client Server based model since they are using Open Source OS and Server. in regards to their EMR module I will have to look into

Dr. Murdoch, I have two Nic Cards on my SBS 2003 server. One is connected to the outside world and the other is connected to the inside world. Everything has to got through the SBS server domain. This was done purposely for security purposes but then it makes it difficult to setup port fowarding from the Router to the PC on our LAN. Thanks Tim

Hello Matt, Thanks for the reply Matt. The Port Forward on the router can only be routed to the Server since it has two nic cards. Hence I am not sure if this configuration would word when the subnet of the LAN PCs are not on the same subnet of the router and server. The DHCP is enabled on the Server and disabled on the router.... Hence the XP machine

ITGuru and Brendon, I wanted to know what type of Backup software would you reccomend on a MS Windows 2003 or SBS 2003 servers?. Hello FPDoc, We are in the process of implementing Athena Interface within a week or so. It will be interfacing with our Medtuity EMR system. I hope to test their Bi-directional interface at two of our locations. Furthermore Matt will be analyzing the dataflow and watching out for any hiccups. I will let you know when we have implemented ther HL7 interface

we had Eclipsys demo their Peak Practice product twice. The GUI interface looked neat. Their PMS system was surely impressive and had nice work flow appeal. However their EMR module looked overwhelming, cluttering with too much info on one page. The EMR workflow was'nt somethign the docs liked. Price wise it was in the same range as e-CW and much

Hello Kelly, Can you please explain what you mean by Pre-Authorizations of in-house procedures? I spoke to their team and they said that Pre-Authorization was a part of their package and their pre-authorization system was excellent. Tom!! Can you please repond to Kelly's comments? Hello FPDoc, Our Urgent Care facility is integrating Medtuity EMR with Athena PMS. We are at the implementation and configuration stage right now. We anticipate the implementation to proceed by Miday May hopefully. We are very excited with the anticipation of workign with Athena and looking forward to working with them on a long term basis.
