• Re: Lytec vs. Medisoft vs. Other

We have found the core Medisoft, Office Hours, and Advantage database to all work just fine on 64-bit Windows. Although it is not officially supported by McKesson yet, we support it. I would recommend you go with Windows 7 Pro because it networks easier and you can run incompatible apps in XP Mode. With...

  • Re: Lytec vs. Medisoft vs. Other

I can tell you that Medisoft v15 is compatible with Vista 32-bit. I have setup plenty of these. When Medisoft starts up it attempts to "call home" to look for updates, etc. There is probably an incompatibility that is preventing this from happening. Look for firewall pop-ups asking to allow...
Anyone using these? I have used Lytec in the past happily but am wondering about Medisoft.
Dr. K; I used to represent both for over 6 years. They're both good systems in their own way; meaning, I noticed a trend where users who loved Medisoft disliked Lytec....

  • Re: Lytec vs. Medisoft vs. Other

Medisoft added about 100 reports to their product last release. Several of the new reports have breakdowns by provider. It has a deposit list that makes it easy to drill down and see how money from a particular EOB was applied. I have the abilitiy to create about any Medisoft report that you need. McKesson...

  • Re: EMR & Medisoft

If you use the Print Grid feature of the Patient List, there is an option to export to .CSV which Excel can open.
